For Musical Performance A, I logged ninety hours of Musical Performance Work and submitted videos as my final projects to get credit through my online school, Christa McAuliffe School Of Arts And Sciences.

A large number of my logged hours was done through School Of Rock, which is a music program. In my freshman year, I performed in two dress rehearsals and three concerts through this program which includes group and individual lessons. Of course, the bulk of the hours was practice, practice, and more practice.

Not only was it fun, but I also developed so much as a performer because when I started out I was just playing guitar, but by the end, I was doing backup vocals, guitar, and I even did a guitar solo. There were six people in my band, including me, so I also learned how to work with many different personalities in my band. We performed Let It Be by the Beatles, Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, Summer of ’69 by Bryan Adams, Mercy by Duffy, Everyday People by Sly and The Family Stone, and Shake it Off by Taylor Swift.
Another activity I did for extra credit was write two parodies on my YouTube channel: Shutdown Train and That Wall.
School of Rock was an excellent experience and provided me with more opportunities to perform in professional venues to crowds exceeding 300 people than I ever could have expected.
